Caring for your resin clock
Each piece is handmade epoxy resin on a solid MDF base, finished with a crushed-crystal border and a silent quartz movement. A little care keeps it looking its best for years.
Keep it out of direct sunlight. Prolonged UV can slowly warm the tones of any epoxy resin over time. A bright room is lovely; a spot in constant direct sun is best avoided.
Keep it away from heat. Radiators, fireplaces, and hot lamps can affect resin over time. Room temperature is its happy place.
Dust gently. Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For a deeper clean, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately — the MDF base doesn't like standing moisture, so never let water pool or hang it in a humid room like a bathroom.
Skip the chemicals. No solvents, alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners — these dull the glossy finish. Plain or barely-damp cloth only.
Mind the border. The crushed-crystal edge is part of the charm but can be a little textured — handle by the body of the clock, and avoid knocks.
Hang it securely. This is a substantial piece. Mount it on a wall hook or screw rated for the weight, into a stud or wall plug, and check it sits level.
The movement. Runs on a single battery (silent sweep). If it slows, simply replace the battery. Storing it for a while? Remove the battery to keep things fresh.
A note on character: small bubbles, swirls, and variations in the resin aren't flaws — they're the signature of a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece. No two will ever be exactly alike.
